NetSuite completes acquisition of Bronto Software

The focus now will be on building a solid platform for enterprise business transformation, according to acquirer NetSuite

NetSuite has completed its $200 million acquisition of Bronto Software and will be using the opportunity as a stepping stone to develop more efficient solutions to drive forward business transformation for organisations.

The company will combine Bronto Software's cloud-based omnichannel commerce and marketing automation tools with NetSuite's SuiteCommerce cloud-based omnichannel commerce platform into one unified solution to help businesses engage with their customers and build loyalty with brand advocates.

The two will then work together to deliver the companies' existing client base including Armani Exchange, Timex, Trek Bikes, GoPro, Roku and Virgin Media with improved point-of-sale, ecommerce and call centre commerce strategies, NetSuite explained.

Andy Lloyd, general manager of commerce products at NetSuite, said: “With the completion of this acquisition, the industry’s leading commerce marketing system has been combined with the world’s number one cloud-based omnichannel commerce platform, bringing transformational power to businesses.

“Together, this technology can help brands to deliver relevant and consistent digital commerce experiences throughout the customer journey.”

Bronto's co-founders Joe Colopy and Chaz Felix will continue in their roles as CEO and COO, respectively, but they will now be employed by NetSuite.

Colopy added: “We’re thrilled to officially join the NetSuite team and we’re already hard at work bringing Bronto’s industry leading commerce marketing capabilities to NetSuite’s commerce solutions. With a combined Bronto and NetSuite solution, businesses now have a single platform to better engage with their customers, drive repeat purchases and build lifelong loyalty.”
