Hybrid Cloud

Hybrid cloud computing is when both public and private cloud computing resources are used. Most commonly this involves data being stored locally but replicated, or backed-up, in a public cloud. The hybrid model is common mainly because large companies already have expensive computing systems in place which, as they represent a substantial investment, they are loath to scrap. They may also wish to keep sensitive information on their local servers rather than in the public cloud, which is not seen as secure.
