Software will deliver simplicity for advanced cloud integration, company claims

Data integration software provider Informatica has launched the latest version of its Cloud Spring integration platform.

According to the company,  Cloud Spring 2014 includes real-time application integration to provide customers with a choice between processing the data in the cloud – including cloud-to-cloud data integrations like Salesforce to NetSuite – or on-premise.

It also has reusable integration designs that Informatica claims are 100 per cent portable across cloud, on premise and hybrid environments.

Finally, the organisation claims Cloud Spring 2014 allows SaaS application users to quickly design integrations totally in the cloud, thanks to its Cloud Designer element, which incorporates a wizard tool for the former group and drag-and-drop visual design interface for the latter.

Ash Kulkarni, senior vice president and general manager of data integration at Informatica, said: “Only Cloud Designer brings the full power of Informatica’s…integration design tools into a 100 per cent cloud-based design environment.

“This translates into faster time-to-value for SaaS application users, increased productivity for integration developers, and reduced IT infrastructure costs with no on-premise tools to deploy and manage.”

The offering is powered by the company’s Vibe Virtual Data Machine, its embeddable data management engine.

According to Informatica, this speeds up projects and improves integration agility, as Vibe allows for an application to be designed once and deployed in any setting, it claimed.

Informatica Cloud Spring 2014 is available immediately.
