Hybrid cloud specialist brings big name providers on board for latest offering

Cloud-based file sharing infrastructure provider for business, Egnyte, has announced a new partner platform, EgnytePlus. The company says its latest hybrid cloud offering will enable the creation of complete file sharing infrastructure for the enterprise.

All of the Egnyte’s partners are certified using what the organisation describes as “a rigorous set of tests designed to ensure that each solution exceeds Egnyte’s stringent functionality, reliability and performance criteria”.

The first EgnytePlus certified products include IBM’s N-Series and DS-Series Storage products, NetApp Unified Storage, NETGEAR’S ReadyNAS and ReadyDATA offerings, and Synology DiskStation.

Vineet Jain, co-founder and CEO of Egnyte, said: “We have consistently heard from our enterprise customers that the cloud is not enough, and what they want is the utility of the cloud combined with secure on-premise storage. By partnering with world class storage players like NetApp, IBM, Netgear and Synology, EgnytePlus does precisely that.”

Rich Clifton, senior vice president and general manager of technology enablement and solutions organisation at NetApp added: “EgnytePlus is a testament to Egnyte’s history of innovation and relentless focus on solving the problem of file sharing for the enterprise.  Our joint solution delivers an ‘in the office’ file sharing experience that scales as companies grow. This translates to a big competitive advantage for our customers.”
