Attenda wraps managed services around AWS
New cloud-based service to help enterprises manage AWS instances
Cloud provider Attenda has launched a service to help enterprises manage business applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The new Attenda AWS Managed Service offering features incident, problem and change management, a full monitoring service with component fault and performance monitoring, proactive maintenance with capacity planning and routine cost optimisation, auto-scaling, and security management.
It also extends the design, deployment and management of cloud-based services on Amazon AWS, complementing its infrastructure-based services with a comprehensive managed services layer.
Clive Grayson, service strategy director at Attenda said AWS lacks the managed service layer and client support that his company can offer.
“We will leverage the scaling capabilities of AWS to provide comprehensive auto-scaling management, which is fully integrated with our configuration and monitoring management systems,” he said.
Grayson added that mid-market clients are looking to cloud service brokering to bridge the gap between cloud platforms, such as AWS, and the enterprise.
“So, clients want to work with a service provider that can facilitate the right choices, selecting the right cloud IaaS offerings to meet business needs, designing solutions that have the capability to adapt as business needs change; and providing a single business outcome focused SLA for their solutions,” Grayson concluded.
