Cloud Hosting

Cloud hosting in the context of Infrastructure-as-a-Service describes the provision of servers, network equipment and data centre storage space by a third party, rather than by an enterprise itself. Generally a cloud host (or provider) is operating multiple, connected servers, which could be anywhere in the world. This has the effect of producing virtually unlimited processing power and a high level of scalability.
