Using cloud-based virtual servers, rather than your own  infrastructure, brings significant benefits in cost and flexibility. The number of servers can change to meet your requirements, either according to planned expansions and contractions or even on-the-fly dictated by workload with no need for capital investment.  However, you may not know where your resources are stored or with whom they’re sharing datacentre space.
