VMTurbo brings on more partners to enhance cloud optimisation
Intelligent workload software company announces two new UK signings to its partner programme
Cloud infrastructure company VMTurbo has expanded its operations in the UK with two more companies joining its partner programme.
It said that it had brought UK infrastructure providers OverBright and Computacenter into the fold.
VMTurbo's Operations Manager product is aimed at ensuring application performance, operational efficiency and optimal resource utilisation in cloud and virtualised infrastructures. Version 3.0 of the product was released in January this year. It featured cloud-scale management for the large service providers and enterprise virtual infrastructures, expanded heterogeneous hypervisor support, new application performance assurance capabilities, and enhanced capacity planning functionality.
The company counts BT, London School of Economics (LSE) and XL Insurance among its UK customers for its capacity planning, performance optimisation and automation products.
Ben Ashford,Head of IT Capacity Planning at BT said his company had successfully deployed VMTurbo within the organisation as a "proof of concept".
"We expect to make significant savings while, at the same time, we will be able to sustain application performance by making optimal resource allocation decisions,” he said.
Rob Homewood, technical director, OverBright said VMTurbo Operations Manager meant its customers had a product that "efficiently manages and controls their virtual datacenters and cloud infrastructures. In particular, the performance optimisation and automation functionality is not found in any other technology on the market today."
VMTurbo's UK managing director Andrew Mallaband said there was an need for customers to better control and manage their virtual environments.
We expect these trends to only accelerate due to the cost savings our solution delivers to enterprise and cloud provider customers and the high-margin opportunities we provide to our channel partners," he added.
