Collaboration

Collaboration in a cloud computing context refers to the ability of people to work together in an online environment, through accessing the same software, applications, databases, documents and social media. This can be done in public or private clouds and has the advantages of avoiding duplication, by allowing people to work on a single document collectively even if they are long distances apart. Some SaaS applications feature instant messaging, video conferencing, telephony and organisation-specific social networking sites, allowing people operating within the same cloud to work collaboratively on the same project or document.
